In looking up the statistics for exoneration, I did some further research and this page is fairly current:

But this raises a very compelling question: how many people are still in prison for a crime they did not commit?
I'd say more than a handful. It's often official misconduct, by the way, that results in wrongful convictions, too.
"Official misconduct occurred in at least 118 exonerations in 2023."
